Culver’s Celebrates FFA Week by Launching FFA Ambassador Program
Restaurant chain’s new initiative recognizes outstanding FFA members, offers prizes and educational opportunities
PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis.—Feb. 19, 2024—Helping to cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders is something Culver’s takes pride in – especially during National FFA Week (Feb. 17-24). To celebrate this year, the restaurant chain is announcing the FFA Ambassador Program, a new initiative that allows guests to nominate standout FFA members in their communities to represent Culver’s and their FFA chapter, as well as have the opportunity to earn additional prizes.
The FFA Ambassador Program is the latest chapter in Culver’s longstanding relationship with FFA. Culver’s partners with the organization through its Thank You Farmers® Project, an initiative that aims to advocate for the positive impact of agriculture while investing in agricultural education in order to create a more resilient and sustainable world. Recently celebrating a decade of the program’s existence, Culver’s has donated over $5 million to agricultural causes through the Thank You Farmers Project since its founding.
“The future of agriculture is only as strong as the motivated young people representing the next generation of leadership and advocacy,” said Alison Demmer, Culver’s senior marketing and public relations manager and former Wisconsin FFA president. “We’re proud to launch the Culver’s FFA Ambassador Program and can’t wait to welcome our first class of Ambassadors to represent FFA, Culver’s and their communities.”
In the contest, guests can nominate an FFA member who is doing outstanding work for their chapter and their community. The nominator will answer three questions about why their chosen FFA member should become an FFA Ambassador:
- Why would your nominee be a good representative for their FFA chapter, their community and Culver’s?
- Why does your nominee deserve to become a Culver’s FFA Ambassador?
- Does your nominee’s FFA chapter work with a Culver’s restaurant, and if so, which one? (Optional)
Up to ten winning nominees will be selected as FFA Ambassadors, giving them the opportunity to earn up to $2,500 for their FFA chapter by participating in FFA advocacy events hosted by Culver’s. Through the events, Ambassadors will share the importance of agriculture and agriculture education to people of their local community and beyond.
Beginning today through March 15, nominations can be made at https://www.culvers.com/ffa-ambassador-program-contest. Students must be active members of their FFA chapter for the 2023-24 school year to be eligible.
